Forgiveness: A Guide for Prayer is based on the first week of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. This retreat helps you re-imagine what it means to pray and see with new eyes God's presence and activity in your daily life.
Covering a seven week period over the forty days of lent, each day offers scriptural passages with commentary, followed by a suggested approach to prayer for that day. Your prayer is focused on how sin becomes an obstacle to receiving God's love. Moving Scripture passages and commentary emphasize that like the father in the story of the prodigal son, God is always ready to embrace us with his mercy and forgiveness.
If you have ever desired a deeper experience of God's mercy and forgiveness this retreat offers a path of discovery toward enlightened understanding. Pope Francis consistently speaks of being "touched by the mercy of God." The Forgiveness retreat provides an excellent vehicle to open ourselves to be touched by mercy.
