After Jesus resurrected from the dead and came back to the world…
“‘The world did not know him’ - and those who knew him intimately scarcely recognized him. The disciples on the road to Emmaus thought he was a stranger from foreign parts, Mary Magdalene took him to be the gardener, and Thomas asks for ‘physical proof’. His disciples recognized him in the gesture of breaking bread, Mary through his voice, and Thomas through his wounds. In the breaking of bread, his voice ,and his wounds, they encounter Jesus and encounter his love.”

In what simple things do you encounter Jesus?
In what actions of others do you encounter Jesus’s love?
If an answer or answers come to mind, talk with the Lord about them. If answers do not readily come to mind to either of the above questions… talk to the Lord about that.
In either case, ask the Lord to reveal himself to you in the day’s simple things, and in simple encounters with others.
