Small Group Discussion Sessions
The conference small group discussions sessions invite participants into an experience exploring dimensions of conversion and faith through the lens of Ignatian Spirituality. The discussions are framed by Rev. Dr. James Hanvey, SJ's presentations. We are creating a space for learning and listening to the Creator dealing directly with us. These sessions give us a time for considering, sharing, listening, and an opportunity to synthesize what we are hearing and what it might mean to us.
Sessions are facilitated by an ISI team member to open spiritual conversation among us. We ask participants to please be sure to attend the room to which they are assigned for a given session as seating is only available for those assigned to the session. Small group discussion session assignment designation will be found on the back of the participant nametag.
MORNING | AFTERNOON General Session Panel Discussion:
We ask the question: What are we hearing? What questions or insights are opening? This session is not intended to provide answers as much as it is to explore questions and movements we are noting. It is a conversation between participants and our panelists. The general session panel discussions will strive to deepen the small group sessions and allow time for conference participants to ask questions or seek insight directly with panelists.
Panelist "Reflections on Hope" Sessions
These sessions are designed to offer participants an exploration into themes on hope, faith, and love through direct encounter with each of our panelists Fr Mike Graham, SJ, Fr. Anthony Borrow, SJ, and Carol Atwell Ackels. Participants will be assigned to these sessions so every participant will have an opportunity to hear each panelist's presentation.
Witness to Hope Sessions
These sessions will explore various ministries representative of the Society of Jesus Universal Apostolic Preferences inviting representatives to will give 'witness' to their experiences of hope in what our ministries offer. These sessions will also prompt discussions to explore what we may do in our own ministry context to deepen the UAPs impact and increase our faith, hope, and love.
