Take a few moments in prayer.

Place yourself in God’s presence. Notice how you arrive—your desires, hesitations, and hopes.

Gently reflect on the following:

•    Desire
What draws me to accompany others in the Spiritual Exercises?
Is this desire steady and grounded, or hurried and uncertain?

•    Relationship with God
Am I tending a regular, honest life of prayer?
Do I recognize how God has been present and active in my own life?

•    Interior Freedom
Am I willing to listen more than speak, to accompany rather than lead?
Can I allow another’s experience to unfold without needing to direct or fix it?

•    Capacity for Presence
Am I able to offer attentive, compassionate listening?
Can I remain with another person’s story, even when it is complex or unclear?

•    Humility and Teachability
Am I open to being formed, stretched, and gently challenged?
Can I receive feedback without defensiveness?

•    Availability
Do I have the time, energy, and commitment to participate fully in this ten-month journey?

Pause again. Notice what stirs—peace, resistance, clarity, or questions.

Speak honestly with God:

What is my deepest desire here?
Is this the right time for me to say yes?

Trust that clarity often comes quietly. You are not asked to be fully prepared—only to be ready enough, and willing.
